Recently, the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration and the National Standardization Administration of China jointly issued two national standards, General Principles for Pesticide Packaging and Pesticide Emulsion Packaging, which were drafted and revised by Shenyang Chemical Research Institute.

The two national standards, General Principles for Pesticide Packaging and Pesticide Emulsion Packaging, are mandatory national standards formulated during the "Sixth Five-Year Plan" period. They are an important part of the pesticide standard system, and are the general standards for the packaging of emulsifiable oil pesticides and other pesticide formulations, which have a normative role for all pesticide formulations. This is the fourth revision of the national standard of General Principles of Pesticide Packaging and the third revision of the national standard of Pesticide Emulsion Packaging. New requirements for preventing pesticide packaging waste from polluting soil have been added to the standard text. The two mandatory national standards newly issued and implemented will play an important role in protecting the rural ecological environment, ensuring human health and environmental safety.

As an affiliated unit of the National Technical Committee for Pesticide Standardization and the National Technical Committee for Dye Standardization, the Shenyang Institute of Chemical Technology has the OECDGLP qualification in the field of pesticide testing and evaluation, and the dye inspection laboratory approved by the National Accreditation Administration and the National Accreditation Commission, which is responsible for organizing and participating in the formulation of national and industrial standards for pesticides and dyes.
